Dominic Moccia is a highly skilled, experienced, certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical and cosmetic dermatology. Dominic graduated top of his class with 2 masters degrees: one in Business Administration from The University of Rhode Island and one in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and extended his education to become a Diplomate of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) which means that he has achieved the highest educational honor available as a Dermatology PA. This impressive accomplishment has only been achieved by fewer than 50 PA’s in the state of NY.
Dominic provides a wide range of dermatologic care such as acne care and prevention, skin cancer screenings and treatment, eczema, psoriasis, rashes, removals and excisions. His gentle touch allows him to provide natural looking cosmetic treatments with Botox, Dysport, facial fillers: Restylane, Juvederm, Belotero, laser hair removal, chemical peels and Kybella.
Dominic’s first experience with dermatology came in high school when his developed painful, cystic acne. He found relief and clear skin with the prescription medication Accutane, a healthy diet and a careful skin care routine. His interest expanded in college during his diving career as a Division I athlete. Constant exposure to chlorinated water made him prone to skin irritations, eczema and bacterial folliculitis. With effective treatments he was able to successfully advance his diving career.
Dominic is a New Yorker, raised in Westchester County. He’s an avid cyclist and teaches spin. He spent extensive time in Italy perfecting his language skills and immersing himself in Italian culture. He enjoys a traditional Italian family dinner every Sunday.
