Dermatology Physician Assistant
Apexa Desai is a seasoned, board-certified Physician Assistant, specializing in dermatology. Apexa chose to pursue a path in Dermatology to allow her to help patients both medically and aesthetically, specifically because she values giving patients a sense of self-worth and confidence. She is a graduate of Hofstra University, with over 10 years of experience at delivering exceptional patient care. Apexa began her Physician Assistant career in Cardiology, eventually transitioning to Dermatology which she always knew was where her heart was. She has been hand selected and trained by Dr. Eidelman and Dr. Ginsberg to care for the patients of Chelsea Skin & Laser, both because of her skills and experience, but further due to her shared ethic in creating a patient-centered, personalized, and high-quality experience.
Apexa is skilled at all levels of care, including complex/multi-system treatment plans, along with routine examinations. She is a member of American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
Apexa is fluent in various Indian languages and conversational in Spanish. Outside of her professional life, she is a dedicated mom and wife. She enjoys splurging on skincare, traveling, and hiking. She also mentors pre-med students that aspire to be Physician Assistants.
